In 2 hours we will have our 1st meeting for our upcoming Rally to be held on June 19th for bringing an NHL team to Hamilton.
I have been working quietly on this for awhile now, but the one thing that we need to do is to recreate 1972.
Remember how the Country basically grinded to a halt during that series?
All the schools, and business's closed and that's what we need to do here.
I personally will be closing my office so my staff can attend the rally.
We need everyone to be on the same page for this one folks, we need to have all the enthusiasm that we had during the Summit Series, remember?
Anything else would not be acceptable.
Lets fill the streets, and show the world that hockey deserves to be in Hamilton!!!

RALLY UPDATE
We had a great first meeting and got a lot of the issues out on the table for discussion.
As this rally will be the most important rally this city has ever seen, it is critical that the mayor's office take leadership on this issue and make this the biggest and proudest moment this city has had something to cheer about in a long time.
We only have 9 days to pull this off, it has been done before when Mayor Bob Morrow held a rally that 20,000 kids attended.
Yes people outside the mayor's office could do this, but this would not be the correct thing to do here, in this case the world will be watching and it is incredibly important that the Mayor takes leadership on this issue.
The team is in place, our game plan is set, we just need the mayor to officially set it in motion.
This could be a very defining moment for our great city.
